Looking for a place to entertain the kids this summer on the Southside? From camps to special programs to supervised fun, we’ve got some options!
Mitchell Lake Audubon Center is a great (and convenient!) place to go all year round, but it’s ideal for kids during the summer.
Camps start Monday, June 8, and last through the end of the month. Weekly themes include:
- Outdoor Art Adventures, June 8 - 12, 8:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. (Ages 7-11)
- Crazy Critter Crew, June 15 - 19, 8:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. (Ages 7-9)
- Zombie Survival Skills, June 22 - 26, 8:30a.m. to 3:30p.m. (Ages 9-12)

flip’z Trampoline Park
Just need a place to allow the kids to burn off a little energy? Take them to flip’z Trampoline Park, with 25,000 square feet of jumping space located next door to PicaPica Plaza. They can jump, dunk a basketball, play dodgeball, and there’s even a separate area for kids under six.
The South San Antonio Community Center at 2031 Quintana and the South Side Lions Community Center at 3100 Hiawatha offer summer youth programs from June 15 through August 7. These all-day programs are from 7:30 to 5:30pm for ages six to 14.

Day Camps at VentureLab “are designed to inspire budding entrepreneurs, our camps enhance critical & creative thinking while keeping kids giggling and engaged.”
Camps are offered from June 6 to August 10, from 9a.m. to 3p.m. for ages 5-18.

Camp Showbiz at The Magik Performing Arts Center offers camps from June 8 to August 22. This popular theater arts program is available for ages 3-17.
