Businesses look to consumers to help shape their product and offerings all the time. It’s called market research, and it’s not a new idea. But the way some smart companies are approaching it today is. Homebuilders like Lennar Homes are using crowdsourcing to reach out to Texas homebuyers and help define their needs for modern homes.

Crowdsourcing has gained in popularity in recent years, and, when used in this manner, is a way to give the homebuying public a voice and more direct input into what they see, what they like, and what they want. People who are already connected with Lennar on Facebook can readily view posts and answer questions like:

  • “What do you think of this kitchen?”
  • “Would you like this game room in your home?”
  • “What would you rate this family room?”

A recent Facebook post from Lennar San Antonio asked, “Do you have children? If so, would they LIKE to play on a community playground like this one in Mission Del Lago?”

Mission del Lago is a masterplanned community in San Antonio that is benefitting from a renaissance in the area and desirable homes that connect with Southside homebuyers. The builder has a long history of excellence and awards in homebuilding and a reputation for being in touch with the needs of modern homebuyers. This innovative approach puts the needs of homebuyers front and center, further helping to make Mission del Lago a favorite San Antonio new-home community.

Lennar offers 11 different 1-and 2-story floorplans at Mission del Lago with 3 to 4 bedrooms and 2 to 2.5 baths in 1,308 to 2,920 square feet of living space. Open floorplans reveal chef’s kitchens and airy gathering areas with large bedrooms and gracious outdoor spaces.

These homes also feature Lennar’s popular “Everything’s Included” program, which includes many of today’s most popular features and finishes at no extra cost. These include window coverings, appliance packages, granite countertops, landscaping, and other desirable offerings that are typically considered expensive upgrades in many other communities.

Mission del Lago offers a combination of charm, close-knit friendliness, and convenience. The community’s ideal location just five minutes from IH-37 and 15 minutes to downtown offers easy access to Eagle Ford Shale, Brooks City Base, and the Toyota plant, yet with a scenic, serene setting. Amenities include the Mission del Lago Golf Course, which winds through the community.
